Since around 1996 I have been active on the web building websites. I used to design my own, but since about a year, because of lack of time, I started buying templates and adjusting them to my needs.
Currently my websites are a mixture of my own designs (such as Phonoland.com) and bought designs/templates, while earlier I did all the design my self.
Most of my websites run Drupal, which, to my opinion, is the best CMS (Content Management Software) out there. It's really a framework for many types of modules created by members from the Drupal community.
As forum engine for Phonoland.com I use phpBB, which is bulletin board software with many features. Before this I ran my own programmed forum system (in Miva) but it became too slow to handle all the messages.
An overview of my current websites:
Phonoland.Com: A social community for antiques collectors
digifriends.com: a website for "socialising on the Internet" (this
website is now merged with MarcelSmits.com)
WorldWideWare.com: Shortcuts to various types of
Freeware/Shareware software (this website is now
merged with MarcelSmits.com)
JakeSmits.com: My first son's webspace
Besides my personal websites I have created several websites for the various companies I have worked for. Both Internet and Intranet websites. On my current job I just implemented a new website running on Drupal aswell, enabling employees from the company to edit their own pages on the website.
